About Me
More specifically, why you should listen to my advice.
Dr. Kathryn D. McIver, MBA, MBB
My Special Sauce
I support you with managing chaos and complexity in your organization. I am a management scientist and advisor who customizes my solutions based on your management style and background to ensure your success and optimization of your organization.
What I bring to the table is over 15 years (I know right, I started when I was 10 years old) of performance excellence coaching and advising, executive-level operations experience, strategic planning facilitation, and a deep understanding of management and systems thinking. To top that off, I earned a Doctorate in Business Administration from the University of Maryland, an MBA specializing in entrepreneurship from Syracuse University, and a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. You can get more details about my experience by checking out my LinkedIn profile HERE.
When I am not helping you take over your world, I also serve as an adjunct instructor for the University of Colorado Denver and California Intercontinental University. In addition to teaching for these universities, I also build their curriculum and courses: I have built graduate-level courses on strategy, business metrics, operations and efficiency, and entrepreneurship to foster our next generation of business leaders.
In my free time, I enjoy writing and have published articles on applying game theory to organizations, entrepreneurs leveraging business incubators, selecting the appropriate methodology and tools for success, and case studies on Lean Six Sigma implementation. My work can be seen at www.isixsigma.com or by checking out the links below. My professional areas of interest include organizational success factors, mitigating chaos and complexity in organizations, and bridging the “scholar-practitioner” gap, and applying evidence-based management.
I also enjoy speaking and have spoken at Engaged Management Scholars, ASQ, PMI, and trade organizations to increase the caliber of professionals in the workplace.
To continue supporting my fellow management scientists and researchers, I serve as a peer reviewer for:
